STARRING: Louis Koo
Cecilia Cheung
SYPNOSIS:
Seasonal Chan (Louis Koo) is a lonely poet who's very picky about finding
a good wife. Fortunately, Chan engages in a street quarrel and meets Moth Liu (Cecilia Cheung) who catches his eye immediately.
After a brief introduction, the two parts ways, but as fate might have it, meet again at a poetry reading contest sponsored
by the Emperor himself. After seeing how the two are so lovely together, the Emperor orders Chan and Liu to be married and
oversees the wedding personally. Despite their being forced, the two are happy at the strange turn of events and have taken
a liking towards one another.
However, once Chan brings Liu home, he notices a big problem - Moth is prone
to violence and her overly jealous personality certainly doesn't help. Moth Liu is every scholar's nightmare, she's not submissive
to her husband and doesn't respect any of his friends (who always takes Chan out to party every night). Everbody wants Chan
to calm and tame his wife, but he is reluctant to do so (primarily because he's afraid of her). Trouble starts to brew when
a member of the royal family seduces Chan . . .
