SYNOPSIS:
In this internationally acclaimed Thai epic, the political times of Suriyothai are chronicled over her twenty-year reign
in royalty in the early 16th century as she rose to become queen of what would become Thailand, and her heroic death that
helped united two kingdoms.
This national film project was made with the highest budget in Thai film history, with
cooperation from people and organizations in both Thailand and overseas. It is also the film with the greatest ever number
of leading actors and actresses, plus thousands of extras and modern special effects.
Art direction, sets, props, costumes,
music, sound and special effects have been combined to enhance the experience and authenticity, in order to make it as realistic
as possibly could be portrayed based on historical research and imagination, making SURIYOTHAI a new chapter in history, through
the eyes of Prince Chatrichalerm Yukol.
