Pharmaceutical student Keiko thinks she has it all until she catches her boyfriend messing around with another girl. Devastated by his infidelity, she hops on a train and ends up in a town called Masao in the nondescript Tokyo suburbs. Finding a part-time job in a drugstore there, Keiko settles into her new life. The men in the town begin to fall for cute Keiko, and take up lacrosse after finding out it is her favorite sport. Authored by Kudo Kankuro (Ping Pong), Drugstore Girl was directed by Motoki Katsuhide and stars Tanaka Reina, Emoto Akira, Miyake Yuji, Ibu Masato, and Mita Yoshiko.
